Alright guys, Today or tomorrow I will cover my 500 series TBM Avenger! I will use 50/50 Elmers, and it will be rubber power. One last time: Should I cover it in sections/panels, or all at once? Or some other way?

i would try in sections first. the guide that comes with those kits is great, and i would strongly suggest reading every word in it.

then check out u tube, there are some great covering tutorials there. and take a look at scigs30's "500 series stuka build" type that in, and check it out. youll want to read pretty much every word that has to do with covering. and finally, check out phugoids piper cub 95 build, wich has a ton of covering info in it too. get yourself a small brush, and get yourself a larger brush. also find a re sealable container (one that is small) to put the 50/50 glue mixture into. that will help keeping the glue contained so that you dont have to worry about.

i like looking really closely at the tissue, to make sure it looks good. also, make sure that your wing frame fits nicely inside of the fuse, and it is nice and level before you cover. and also the same with the stabilizer. look at phugoid's posts on his piper super cub 95. read all of it!

Take your time! That frame looks pretty good. Do it justice.

When I do rocketry builds, I work on two at a time so I'm not compelled to rush things along. Rushing a finish is just asking for a terrible mess . . . like having to wet-sand and compound out a rushed coat of paint that wrinkled or ran.

The two at a time tip is a good one. Go slow, allow the glue to completely dry before you trim or spray. Go play Evony or Civ or something and take a step back. And use that sandpaper to smooth out the frame. It is the tiny little nubs that we can't see that end up sticking up at the junction or the formers and stringers. keep up the good work.
