i would start out with a 400 series model. those are good flyers. about 50 bucks. on ebay, you are probably able to score for lower, but ill give you the worse case. that kits has just about everything you need except a fuel tank, motor, glow fuel. my cox .049 Tee Dee (much more power than you need for a 400 series, but it does the trick!) costed me about 70 dollars brand new, with original instructions, original tool for adjustments, a fuel tank motor mount, and screws. from there, all you need are fuel lines and fuel, which doesnt cost much. i would spend less than 14 bucks for both of them.
of course, the prices up there are only for my case. im sure you can find better deals if you place your bid properly. that motor also came with a glow head clip, which conencts to any 1.5 V battery, and will clip onto the glow head of the engine for starting.
here is the wing with top stringers on. i thing that i have figured out the fuel tank, but do not know for sure. i think that the side (the skiniest of the trianular prism) goes on the bottom, with the angled fuel thing on the bottom and facing the outside of the circle.
