Yes, thanks for the info Tee Bee. Just one more question - what did you use to paint the cowling?!
I wouldn't worry too much about the incorrect aileron positions - I never noticed it 'til you mentioned it and it looks just fine to me anyway. I bought some red Esaki tissue for my Triplane as I didn't really want to use the stuff supplied with the kit. As you say, the white tissue Guillow's usually include in their kits tears very easily when wet so I just presumed the red in the Triplane kit would be the same. Seems I was wrong! I also have the SE5a which I'll build after I've finished my current kit (the series 500 Hellcat) but this doesn't, for some reason, include coloured tissue. Not to worry though, as I've already got some nice dark green Esaki lined up for that!
I stopped short of adding the extra details you added. Like you, I figured it was 'finished enough' and was keen to move on, but I didn't really want to run the risk of possibly spoiling it either. Maybe one day I'll add a few little extra bits and pieces to it. I can understand the pride you feel when looking at your Triplane - I'm the same with mine. Can't quite believe sometimes that it was actually made by ME!
But anyway, you did a really great job Tee Bee and good luck with Sig kit.
